Privacy policy·Updated Oct 23, 2026
Your record is yours.
Your record stays on your iPhone. Only a few things can leave it, and you control each one.
Where does my record live?
On your iPhone. There’s no account to make, and nothing you write is sent to us.
And iCloud?
Backup is off until you turn it on. Then your record is kept in your own iCloud, where we can’t read it.
Do you count anything?
A few anonymous moments, from the moment you tap Begin. You can turn them off any time in Seigyo’s Settings, under Privacy, Anonymous counts: then nothing more is sent, and counts waiting on your iPhone are deleted.
They go to TelemetryDeck, which handles them for us, each once: which parts of setup you reached, which version of the paywall you saw (it follows a few of your answers) and whether you bought, how you heard about Seigyo, the first day you closed, and whether you came back the next day. They’re used only to see where Seigyo helps and where people stop: never for ads, and never sold.
Each count carries only what happened (like “paywallShown” or “purchase”), one word of detail where there is one (which part of setup, which version of the paywall, or your answer to “How did you hear about Seigyo?”), the record’s day number where there is one, the time, the app’s version, a random id made for your record and one made for each launch. The ids are made on your iPhone and tied to nothing: not your name, your Apple Account or your device. Never your blocks, your goal or anything you write, and never used for tracking or advertising. Because nothing in a sent count leads back to you, there is nothing to pick out and delete by person; deleting your record starts new random ids.
Can you see which apps I lock?
No. Screen Time gives Seigyo Apple’s own tokens for them, and the tokens don’t say which apps they are.
Apple Health?
If you connect sleep in Insights, it’s read on your iPhone when Insights opens, and never kept.
My calendar?
If you allow it, your events are read on your iPhone to show your free time, and never kept. If you also turn on Add my blocks to my calendar, your timed blocks go into a Seigyo calendar that syncs like your others.
When I close the day by voice?
Your words become text on your iPhone, only to mark your blocks. Neither your voice nor the text is kept.
Proof photos?
Kept beside your record on your iPhone. They aren’t in Seigyo’s iCloud backup or the export. Seigyo sees only the photo you pick. A recap picture goes to Photos only if you save it.
Payments?
Apple handles them. Seigyo only learns whether your subscription is active.
Can I delete it all?
Yes. Your record is kept until you delete it. Delete everything, in Seigyo’s Settings under Your record, removes it from your iPhone, with its photos, and from your iCloud backup.
If I join the waitlist?
We keep your email only to send you the launch email and a few updates about Seigyo. Every email has a link that takes you off the list in one click, or write to [email protected].
The list is kept in a database at Cloudflare, which runs this site: your email, when you joined, and the code in your own link to leave. To send each email, we copy the list to Kit, the service that sends it for us. Your link deletes your email from our list, and Kit’s unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email stops its emails too. Your email is never sold, never used for ads, and never linked to the app or your record. To keep bots off the list, the form limits how often one connection can join by counting a scrambled form of its address for ten minutes, a form that can’t be turned back into the address, and it may ask Cloudflare Turnstile for an invisible check that you’re a person.
Questions? Email [email protected]. If this policy changes, this page changes first, with its date.
